Why Pet Parents Are Retiring the Sticky Roller This Christmas

A story from Furryless — the people who make the tools in it. This is our page, not a news article.

The Furryless FurLift Glove in use on a couch

The guests are coming. The couch is… furry.

It happens every year. The holidays get close, people are coming over, and you look at your couch the way a guest will see it: cushions outlined in hair, a fuzzy seam along every edge, and a dog or cat sitting in the middle of it like they pay rent.

So you do what you always do. You get out the sticky roller.

You roll the cushions. You roll the throw pillows. You tear off a sheet, roll some more, tear off another sheet. Twenty minutes later the couch looks better — not clean, better — and the roller is half gone. Again.

A sticky roller feels cheap. It isn't. It's a product that charges you rent forever: the roll runs out, you buy a refill, the refill runs out. When we priced refills (October 2026), a single refill roll ran $2.35 to $10.75 depending on brand and size. At a typical refill and a normal pace — about one a month in a home with a shedding pet — that's roughly $96 a year, every year. Three years in, you've spent around $288 and you own a plastic handle.

And the roll always runs out at the worst moment. Guests in an hour. Work presentation in the morning. Half a couch left to go.

The discovery: tools you don't have to refill

The switch pet parents are making this year is simple: stop renting the clean. A small set of reusable tools splits the pet-hair job into the three shapes it actually comes in — and none of them ever run out.

The glove, for everything your hand can reach. The Furryless FurLift Glove is a five-finger glove. The back is one single electrostatic pad. Rub it back and forth across a cushion, a car seat, or your own pants, and the hair rolls up into strips you peel off and throw away. It wraps around curves and edges the way only a hand can — because it is one.

The roller, for the big flat jobs. The Furryless Infinity Roller rolls like the sticky kind, but the hair collects in a chamber inside instead of on a sheet. Open it, empty it into the trash, close it, roll again. Same roller on day one and day three hundred. Nothing to refill, ever.

The scraper, for the seams. Rollers and gloves glide over couch seams and corners, where hair gets packed down below the surface. The Furryless 4-Sided Scraper is a small diamond-shaped tool whose textured edges draw that packed hair up and out of seams, piping, and cat-tree edges. It has a second job, too: drawn across the glove's pad, it strips the glove clean, so the glove is always ready.

And for the pet itself: the 3-in-1 Misty Brush grooms with a cool mist that helps collect loose hair while you brush — hair caught at the source is hair that never reaches the couch.

Why it works as a gift

Nobody puts "cleaning tools" on a wish list. But that's the wrong frame. What you're actually giving a pet parent is the twenty minutes a day they spend fighting hair — handed back, in a box that needs nothing else, ever. No refills to buy, no sheets to tear, no subscription. It works the first morning they use it, and it keeps working in March.

The tools come as kits, matched to the home:

  • Everyday Essentials Kit — $59. One FurLift Glove, one Infinity Roller, one 4-Sided Scraper. The full routine for one home. (This is the kit without the Misty Brush.)
  • Home + Car Kit — $79. Two gloves, two rollers, one scraper, one Misty Brush. One set for the house, one for the car.
  • Whole Home Kit — $99. Three gloves, three rollers, two scrapers, one Misty Brush. For multi-pet homes and big shedders — a set in every room the hair is.

The Black Friday offer (October 26 – November 30)

Through November 30, the kits are up to 62% off their piece-by-piece price — the Whole Home Kit is $99 against $259.55 bought separately. Every kit ordered in the sale window also ships with a free extra scraper. Members of the Furryless email list shop first: the early-access link goes out the evening of October 25, a day before the sale opens to everyone.

The promise behind it

A gift shouldn't be a gamble. Every Furryless kit — and the glove and roller on their own — carries the 60-Day Fur-Free Promise: email us within 60 days of delivery and we'll send a prepaid return label; send it back within 14 days and the refund lands minus the label cost. If it doesn't work in their home, it doesn't cost them — or you — anything but the label.

Retire the roller

This Christmas, the sticky roller can finally come off the shopping list — permanently. Give the pet parent in your life the set that ends the refill run, and a couch the guests can sit on.
